The event is established in the market and has been running for 10 years. It is jointly organized and promoted by Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado, IBP (the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas) and SPE (the Society of Petroleum Engineers).

The event enables E&P professionals to look for, and discuss new exploration and production technologies, discuss new ideas and find solutions that allow them to see the potential of the Brazilian offshore market.

The 2013 event will host more than 800 national and foreign exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors, making this event the third largest offshore Exhibition in the word.

The Knowsley SK aim is to ensure that all the facilities have the latest fire safety equipment and systems available and maintained to the highest standards with a high level of standardisation across all the various sites. The agreement will also include the training of site personnel and the provision of engineering services associated with fire system design.

For many years GASOS has been a good relationship of SK sister company Knowsley, that provides fire safety solutions for the oil and gas sector. From the need to enhance cooperation, the desire arose to also buy portable extinguishers from Knowsley. Given that Knowsley does not have self-produced portable fire extinguishers in the assortment, from a quality perspective this need was answered under the banner of SK by using the fire extinguishers from Saval. However, these extinguishers should be certified for the Abu Dhabi market.

A reason for Saval to train GASOS employees on location in Abu Dhabi to become Certified Service Technicians for Saval fire extinguishers. According to the strict guidelines of the Dutch REOB maintenance arrangement, Wim van der Zwan, Manager Training & Consultancy at Saval, prepared and tested the GASOS staff. This successful training lead GASOS Safety to be an official “Approved Saval Service Centre” for the complete range of Saval extinguishers.

NOHA, which operates from five offices in Norway (Stavanger, Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Kristiansand), is a Norwegian producer and distributor of fire hose reels and cabinets. NOHA has an extensive service organization for these products as well as in the Oil & Gas business. For the larger projects in the Oil & Gas business a close collaboration with SK company Knowsley from Manchester will be established. Despite the acquisition, NOHA continues to operate under its own name and local management.

Responding even better to customer needs with complete fire protection program

In Norway the NOHA brand is equal to the Saval brand in The Netherlands. A solid addition to the fine list of companies that already form SK. In strategic terms, this makes the group stronger and through knowledge and shared experience a ‘win-win’ situation will arise.

According to SK, NOHA is a strong fit. The NOHA management believes that joining SK allows for further strengthening growth, improved capabilities and the ability to provide customers with even better service in the future.
