Remote control monitors are used to protect ares of extreme high risk where deployment of fire fighting personnel would be considered too dangerous. By definition therefore these monitors are controlled from a remote, but usually safe, area - such as a control room. Typically, remote control monitors protect marine loading terminals and hazardous process plant areas whilst also being used to mitigate gas cloud release.
Knowsley SK remote control monitors are available in a variety of sizes for applications demanding water or foam discharge.
They are usually controlled by either hydraulic or electric power but more complex control systems utilising state of the art computer logic and pre-set patterns are also now available.
Monitor control stations come in many different shapes and sizes for use as free standing desk type consoles through to wall mounted panels, designed for internal use or for external installation in the harshest of weather conditions. Equally, all panels are designed for safe area location or for positioning in hazardous areas with the appropriate electrical certification.
We also provide monitor towers, CCTV systems, control valves, piping arrangements, foam proportioning packages, water spray systems, hydrants, valves and back up manual monitors.
