Meet our team: Gareth Turner, Commercial & Marketing Manager 3

Can you tell us a bit about your background before joining Knowsley SK?

Of course. I worked for my previous company for almost 20 years, in various roles – most recently as Head of Sales and Head of Product Marketing. The company manufactured products for use in Harsh & Hazardous areas commonly found in the Oil & Gas industry so there are many similarities with Knowsley SK despite the difference in product offerings.

What drew you to Knowsley SK?

I was very interested in working as part of a smaller, more focussed business where I felt that I would be more able to implement ideas and to use my experience to help the Knowsley SK family grow further. KSK offers this opportunity whilst still having a global footprint which I find very exciting.

What do you like most about working at Knowsley SK?

Definitely the people. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful which has made the transition much easier. They all share a common passion for the company, its products and the customers which really shows through!

What’s your favourite Knowsley SK product?

Without question the Turbinator and not just because of its cool name! Its an extremely simple yet reliable design which ensures foam proportioning rate is achieved at any flowrate and pressure with zero water loss. I really feel this product helps KSK stand out in the market and offers users unrivalled ease of use which is extremely important in the world of fire safety.

What do you do in your spare time?

With 2 children under 5 spare time is certainly at a premium, however I do have a passion for DIY as well as restoring old cars & mopeds, though these projects are often long drawn-out affairs!
